Matej, Yes, I know that it's frowned upon. I don't need it, but a friend is having his 8th grade daughter write her reports with LaTeX. (I've suggested LyX, but _he_ doesn't like GUIs; I suggested that his daughter might.) Anyway, apparently one of her teachers wants certain parts of the report underlined (still thinking typewriters, perhaps) and will not accept Italics or bold. Shrug.
