you do not type "LFUN_FILE_OPEN" but "file-open". The advantages are for those who don't like dialogs and clicking. Sometimes it is just faster, and some features are only supported via minibuffer (e.g. "date-insert", "paragraph-spacing onehalf"). > Well, at least now I know what it is. :-) Yes.
