I just type normally in LyX and then File -> Export - -> LaTeX and have this buggy latex code. If I type in English the code looks good but only in Arabic the code looks bad. I wonder whether ArabTex has anything to do here since I haven't yet started the processing. Am I wrong? > the \end{arabtext} should also be in a new line. As I said before this limitation has already been solved in ArabTeX 3.11b but it will make no harm to try again so bear with me. I modified the file to look like this %% LyX 1.3 created this file. For more info, see http://www.lyx.org/. %% Do not edit unless you really know what you are doing. \documentclass[twoside,arabic,english]{arabart} \usepackage[T1]{fontenc} \pagestyle{headings} \setcounter{tocdepth}{2} \usepackage{setspace} \makeatletter \usepackage{arabtex,iso88596} \setcode{iso8859-6} \makeatother \begin{document} \begin{arabtext} الفقرة الأولى \begin{doublespace} الفقرة الثانية \end{doublespace} \end{arabtext} \end{document} - ------------ I tried lyx -dbg any and then opened the file spacing.lyx and got these Log line: !
