Use the 'locate' command and pipt the output through a pager. For example:
locate qt | less
When you have located the qt libraries, but the information in
~/.bash_profile:
QTDIR=/path_to/qt
PATH=$HOME/bin:/path_to/qt/bin:$PATH
Log out, log back in and you should be ready to write.
