Can anyone share some advice or suggestions for converting man pages (in
groff -mandoc format) so they can be imported into lyx documents as
regular lyx content?

(I mean regular lyx, so I can place footnotes, labels, cross references by
different words.)

I converted to html by using groff -mandoc -Thtml.

I tried a http://html2latex.sourceforge.net/ and then attempted to import
the latex, but many times it didn't import all.

I also tried importing html, but it also only imported a small portion of
the entire document.

My workaround is to use groff to export as plain text (and pipe through
col -b), then insert in lyx as paragraphs, and then manually add sections,
bold, highlighting, item lists, etc.

I read about some roff to tex tools on google, but they were from postings
over eight years old -- and I assume that new -mandoc wouldn't format as
well.

(I am using lyx 1.3.2.)

Thank you,
