But when I place
\addtocounter{table}{-1}
somewhere in my Lyx-Document I always get an error message (see below).
I think this is really a problem of pdfTeX, not of Lyx or Latex. If I use dvipdfm instead for generating the PDF-File, it has no problem with \addtocounter{table}{-1} and the numbering of tables (and in the list of tables) is correct.
But the output of pdftex is more nice for electronic publishing ("bookmarks" within acrobat, more colors for links and cross links). Perhaps it is even better for printing because of
\usepackage[activate=normal]{pdfcprot}
which, as I understood, only works with pdftex??
Has someone an idea how to force pdftex to ignore its own error message (see below) and to move on?
Or: Does someone know how to get bookmarks into the pdf-file with dvipdfm?
