scrlettr2 is fairly new, perhaps you had an oudated version of koma. > I reinstalled the latest Koma, but the error remains. Did you rebuild the filename database, so that LaTeX can find the newly installed classes? (AFAIK MikTeX has a wizard for this). Juergen.
