Hello all! I'm rather new to Linux (about a year) and I have just discovered LyX. More than that, I have even started using it for writing scholarly papers. I would like to say that I am totally impressed by LyX and amazed at how professional the output looks. For academic purposes it outshines and outsmarts any word processor I have seen/used. I am currently introducing LyX to other faculty members at our university and will do the same with my students when the new semester begins.
