Yeah, I tried both the stuff you sent me and the stuff in my previous email. They both have the same effect. The captions are a little smaller (not much, but just a little) and they are italic, if I add the \itshape in the right place like this \makeatletter [EMAIL PROTECTED]@makecaption [EMAIL PROTECTED]@makecaption} \makeatother But my question was about the number of the figure being italic along with the rest of the caption, while the label "Fig" is not. I was thinking either the number should not be italic or "Fig" should. This way it looks kinda weird: FIG (8. Diagramme bla bla bla) Parentheses indicate stuff in italics. Whereas I think it should be either FIG 8. (Diagramme bla bla bla) or (FIG 8. Diagramme bla bla bla) It's not really a big deal, but... for the perfectionists out there. Alex.
