You should install all the qt3-xxx packages (4 packages as I remembered), I have updated my qt3 from 3.0.5 to 3.1.1 but I forget the list of this packages... The last version can be downloaded from http://www.kde.org/ I have compiled lyx-qt on qt-3.0.5... no problem by updating the qt packages. Wayan
