Take a look at layout->document. Make sure the language setting for the document is correct. The texconfig stuff only makes dutch hypenation _possible_. You need to select the language to actually use it, as lyx lets you write documents in many languages at once. If you write mostly dutch documents, use "save as document defaults" so you won't have to select your language for every document. Helge Hafting
