It is just a matter of unpacking the tarball, entering the lyx-1.2.3 directory and doing a 'make rpmdist' as root. After some pondering the system should put the RPM in /usr/src/redhat/RPMS/i386. I haven't succeeded in doing so, but my system is screwed up beyond hope at the moment. Regards, Walter
