Hi, have a look at Help->Extended Features section 3.8 Wrapping Text Around Figures. Follow these instruction and copy the Preamble (Layout->Preamble) in your Preamble. The code in the Preamble loads the floatflt package which is needed for this feature. Make sure you have the english version of Extended.lyx.
