Not really: ghostscript is the package you mean, and it comes with ps2epsi but it's not the right tool for this. Better is ps2eps: # ps2eps - convert PostScript to EPS (Encapsulated PostScript) files # (C)opyright 1999-2001 Roland Bless Which is a perl script that also computes correct bounding box. Surprisingly it seems _not_ to be part of Debian, maybe not other Linuxes either so that it might be not so easy to find (I remember having some trouble even with Google, but it should be in TeX archives, I believe.
