I did some presentations with LyX and FoilTeX, which worked ok for simple stuff. Then I tried PowerPoint once (never again, spent too much time "fiddling"), Star Office once or twice (couldn't get nice equations)
and then went back to LyX with something called Prosper. That seems enough for me anyway.
