LyX 1.2.1 Server Pipe Interface not working

I have been successfully using the perl modules:
LyX::Client.pn and LyX::Polite.pm for about 2
years with versions 1.1.5 and 1.1.6.

I cannot make them work with v 1.2.1

Any suggestions?
