I am frustrated... I have been using lyx 1.1.6fix4 on linux and cygwin simultaneously (home and work), and recently upgraded to 1.2.1.
Since then I have started to have problems with figures inserted into the documents. When I inserted a picture, it would come out as if half the figure is outside the page (this happens when I put bmp, gif and even my original eps files which displayed ok in 1.1.6). This behavior did not repeat itself when I opened a new file, put my eps figure in it, and then used copy & paste to the original document. I opened the lyx file and could not see a difference between the code relating to the two figures (of course one is displayed correctly and the other is half off the page). If anyone has any input on this issue I will appreciate it. My problem currently is while my eps files displayed correctly at work on dvi and ps, I came home and they did not display (blank spaces where the figure should be), so I used the gimp the export the pictures again to eps, and while they now display on linux, they do not display on my cygwin (gs version 7.05, using yap 0.98 for dvi). Needless to say I am frustrated and want to solve this problem. What does this sound like to you? Where do I start? (Answers along "dump the cygwin", although contemplated by me, are not solutions..)
