Yeah, I have the same problem. The only way that I know to get around it is to highlight using the shift key and the cursor keys, but it does get tedious when you have to highlight a lot of text. Maybe someone else knows a better way? I already set the "mousewheel scrolls" setting to 1 line in KDE, but it had no effect.
