I am on the act of installing the Debian distribuition on my i686. Before that, however, I must know what kernel version to use: do lyx 1.1.6, 1.2.0 or 1.2.1 run well under 2.4 kernel, or there are known problems and I should keep the 2.2.2 kernel in order to avoid problems with lyx? It is amazing that lyx has acquired such a great importance so that it influences one's kernel choice. Congratulations!
