I read in several places that lyx supports Hebrew with the default install. However I cannot get lyx to type Hebrew in the editor. I made the following changes in the preference dialog, in the language tab I changed the default language to Hebrew, the keyboard map I also changed to Hebrew.kmap, then the editor types characters with dots untop, not Hebrew. In the end I would also like to know how do I change while I type from English to Hebrew and vice versa. I searched in all the documentation and could not come up with the answer so if someone could please help I would appreciate. I am running cygwin on Win2k, lyx running untop of that.
