Works well here (Linux). Export your doc to LaTeX and have a look at the
generated citation commands. If they have asterisks (\citet*{}, \citep*{},
\citealt*{}, \citealp*{}), then it is o.k. from LyX's view. If you have
problems despite this, then probably the citation style you use doesn't
support natbib well enough.
I've seen that Upper Case leeds to error with some self-generated
BibTeX-Styles (but I cannot reproduce this).
