Hey everyone,

A couple of weeks ago I upgraded from LyX 1.1.6fix4 to 1.2.0. I really
like the enhancements.

Since I was having some problems converting JPEG -> PDF with
ImageMagick's "convert", I upgraded from ImageMagick 5.4.3 (included in
RedHat 7.3) to version 5.4.6 (from Rawhide). With the new version, my
conversion problems were fixed.

However, I noticed that after the upgrade some EPS graphics started to
display wrong inside LyX (they looked fine before then). More
specifically, instead of displaying just the image, there was a big
white space around it (like the image was just part of a page). It
looked like this:

+------------------------------------------+
| |
| |
| |
| |
| |
| |
| |
| WHITE SPACE |
| |
| |
| |
| |
| |
| |
| |
| |
| |
+---------------------------+ |
| | |
| | |
| | |
| IMAGE | |
| | |
| | |
| | |
+---------------------------+--------------+

In spite of the graphics being displayed wrong inside LyX, the PS output
was fine.

To try to find the problem, I executed "lyx -dbg graphics". I ended up
fixing it by selecting "Clip to bounding box" in the graphics dialog. I
still don't know why I now have to select that option to see things
right in LyX if it wasn't necessary before. BTW, if I use ImageMagick's
"display" to view the image I also get the extra white space. Any ideas
here?

Finally, I noticed a "Wrong owner" message from the debug output which I
am including at the end of this email. Could this be related? How do I
fix it?

Thanks in advance,

Roberto
