Hi,

Forgive me if this is a rather elementary question.

I use LyX to produce letters in Welsh and have been doing so for some
time. Recently I decided to modify (by copying and modifying) the
g-brief-en class to give me better formatted output. This went more or
less without a hitch, given my level of knowledge of TeX, LaTeX etc -
i.e. none. However I am left with one problem. The currency symbol in
my letters now prints as the Lira symbol instead of the GP Pound
(sterling) symbol (). The GBP symbol appears on the screen, but the
Lira symbol appears in the output.

Does anyone know if this is a problem with the g-brief-en class: or have
I messed with something I shouldn't? The original class also prints the
Lira symbol - but I may have inadvertently changed something during my
investigations. Either way, is there any way I can get the GBP symbol
to work with this class?

Many thanks

Peter
