There is a package rcsinfo, but I have once seen really devilish
trick, which is so cruel, that I have to share it with you:

\newcommand{\RCS}{$ $Revision: 1.5 $ $}

and then use in the document:

\RCS

I do not know, though, whether empty mathematical group won't
make some damage to the beauty of your document.
