I've been trying to use the RevTeX4 document class in LyX 1.1.6fix4
(running under Debian/PowerPC, using the 'testing' distro), and have
encountered a couple of minor problems:

* First, I can't put equations in footnotes. Even starting with the
RevTeX4 LyX template, if I create a footnote in the text containing any
equation (e.g. "x+y"), then the "View DVI" command gives me a couple of
LaTeX errors "Bad math environment delimeter" and "Missing $ inserted".

* Second, I can't attach labels to sections. For example, using the
template file and adding a label "sec:methods" to the "Methods" section
(2), I get two errors ("Use of \let doesn't match its definition" and
  "Missing control sequence inserted").

Are these known/reproducible problems? I didn't find anything on the web
or in the extended manual. Is there a workaround?

Thanks so much for any help or pointers; LyX has quickly become my
favorite software for writing papers, and I really appreciate the efforts
of its developers.

Cordially,
Steven G. Johnson
