Sorry, I did not make a reply for your suggestion. I have sent an email to
the amsrefs dev. support (as pointed of you before).
Actually I am not stick to the special bst package, I just wanna customize
a bst ouput like: for example:

Alibo, D.S. and Y. Nozaki, 1999. Rare earth elements in seawater: Particle
association, shale-normalization, and Ce oxidation. Geochim. Cosmochim.
Acta 63: 363-372.

instead of

R.J. Bodnar. Revised equation and table for determining the freezing point
depression of H2O- NaCl solutions. Geochim. Cosmochim. Acta, 57:683-684,
1993.

That was done by using natbib.bst package... I have tried to use agu.bst
or aguplus.bst but the last two package remove the middle name of
author-name, i.e. Bodnar, R. instead of Bodnar, R.J. I am still learning
this documentation.
