CTAN has a host of stuff for (La)TeX, which can usually be used by LyX (albeit with a little Evil Red Text sometimes). CTAN mirrors are all over the place - your nearest university should have one, probably in something like /pub/tex/ctan. Check out Help->Customization, Chapter 6. Robin
