I'm afraid not, unless there's one variable in the DSSSL to change the
behaviour. But I'm pessimistic.

The problem doesn't come from SGML nor LyX, but from jade/jadetex, that
actually produces the PS or PDF file. Note that you have the same
problem in pure LaTeX if you write too long lines in verbatim mode.
