yes, not a bug.
pdflatex only recognize png, jpg and pdf figure.
If you have lot of figures in eps format, use ps2pdf or dvipdfm instead of
pdflatex. dvipdfm is better than ps2pdf to handle hyperref (as I have
tried). But the important one is ghostscript... better the newest version.
