did you run texhash after copying the cv.cls into the above dir? switch into your home lyx-dir ~/.lyx/ and run configure (program maybe in your lyx system dir, have a look). what does it say? Is there a line like +checking for document class cv [cv]... yes Herbert -- http://www.lyx.org/help/
