Hi,

let me add my part to the list of unsuccessfull upgrades to lyx
1.1.6fix4 (would not it be wise policy to stick with RedHat on
the level of up2date -p, so that I would not have to go to
rawhide, just to install binary packages).

When trying to upgrade, I have got failed dependency on
libstdc++-libc6.1-2.so.3. When found, that it is contained in the
new version of compatibility library for compatibility with RH
6.* and that the version needed for my system (RH 7.0 with
glibc-2.2.4-18.7.0.3) has around 20MB. I am sorry, I am on
dial-up and it is really too much (it was enough to upgrade
glibc). What is even worse, is that the newest gcc on RHN is
gcc-2.96-54, which is too low for lyx (according to INSTALL).
When I am not willing to install compiler from rawhide, so I am
probably out of luck, am I?

Is there anybody who installed lyx 1.1.6fix4 on my configuration
and would be willing to let me access his binary package, please?

There seems to me to be something wrong with the building
process...

        Have a nice day

                Matej
