I have had that probelm before. What caused it for me was that my .bib file 
had been corrupted. Open it in a text editor and see if there are any 
brackets missing at the end of it. Or alternatively try and use one of the 
backed up .bib files. I seem to get a .bib.~n~ (where n is a number) backup 
file each time I change my file.
