Hi all,

In my personal opinion large diagrams seem to disrupt text flow in LyX (your
mileage may vary). So my flowcharts are as small as possible without being
unreadable.

My flowcharts are created in the dia software
(http://www.lysator.liu.se/~alla/dia/). After much experimentation I've come
up with a set of dia settings for boxes, rectangles and elipses. These
settings create the smallest objects whose text can be read on a 600 dpi
printer after converting them to .eps and inserting them in your LyX document.

Here are the settings:

Line width: 0.10
Line colour: black
Fill colour: white
Draw background: yes
Line style: solid
Text padding: 0.05 (try 0.0, it might be even better, YMMV)
Font Helvetica-Bold
Font size: 0.20
Text colour: black

Thanks

Steve
