well, one printer is in my office and another is a printing room 
where others access it (Macs and other machines including Linux).
Also it may be possible to use the IP of the printers??? or to use 
the Unix LPR commands???

perhaps i should have simply said XFree86 on Mac OS X or XDarwin.
