Redhat 7.1 should come with LyX somewhere on the CDs.

Another option is to pick an rpm from the net like

ftp://ftp.sylvan.com/pub/lyx/lyx-1.1.6fix2-1.i386.rpm

(which can be reached via the LyX homepage  www.lyx.org)
