There are 6 ways to draw horizontal lines in LaTex, 5 solid and 1 doted. I
thought that \line(){} would do what I want (specifically, produce a
baseline horizontal line for hand-written filling on the printed document.)
Perhaps not.

Example: Address: ________________________________________

The first question I have is what are the length units for horizontal lines? The
second question is which form of horizontal line should I use? The examples
on <https://www.physicsread.com/latex-horizontal-line/> don't show my need.

Please educate me on which type of horizontal line I should use.

TIA,

Rich
