OK, I am sorry, I just cannot reproduce the crashes of lyx. Actually, the issue came from that fact that my eps.gz file was not visible under lyx (it was OK with gv). Hence, I tried to edit the BoundingBox in the eps file. But doing so my eps.gz generator erased the .eps because I used gzip. generating a correct eps.gz file allows running properly lyx.
