Hello, Thank you for your feedback. The slanted blue coloured L is not supposed to be the icon of the *.lyx file, it was earlier, but that was by mistake. The 'L' is a version of the application icon itself, which was earlier used for the documents too by mistake. Since the Windows installer was rewritten in LyX version 2.3.6 the icon has been fixed and now you see a sheet of paper with a funny face on it.
