I just rebuilt lyx-2.3.6.1 with the default lyx.SlackBuild script. It completed with no errors. During compilation I saw it enter ../src/frontends/qt4/ without specifying qt4 in the configuration section of the script. So, 2.3.6.1 builds but 2.3.7 won't build.
