access to all the characters, just like the other alphabets.

This is not answering your question but in the meanwhile might provide a
workaround. You could create a mathmacro for \mathpzc and use a LyX
supported alphabet that you are not using normally, like Typewriter, for
the representation in LyX.
I just tried to create one but failed because LyX keeps crashing on me
when using math macros. Maybe you have better luck.
