I should know how to do it by now, but SOMETIME (not always) I am still running into an error message: No information about converting GIF files into JPG, or a similar error when I embed a graphics in a Lyx/Beamer file. It comes with a: pdftex.def error. I do not see the required converters listed in the preferences/converters. Sadly, because I am using MX Linux (don't ask me why), I am using Texlive 2018, which tlmgr refuses to update. ImageMagick in installed and working, but obviously something else is broken. Any hints?
