I tried to reproduce the problem when using Qt 4.8.6, but still no luck. Also tried old version of KDE tied to Qt 4.8, but could not reproduce. If you can compile lyx on your own, you could try to bisect with git which commit introduced this within the 2.3.3->2.3.4 cycles if you believe its lyx's fault. Otherwise I am running out of ideas.
