What I am saying is that there are some mentions on google about
converting XHTML to Markdown.  

Pandoc can convert Markdown into LaTeX.

If you are careful in designing the template Pandoc uses, the LaTeX
converts with minimal fuss to LyX.

Minimal fuss means something like 

        perl -i -p -e 's/\\tightlist//g;s/\\\w*{verbatim}//g' f.tex
        tex2lyx f.tex
