Hi John, Did you by chance back up your LyX user directory? (by default located in ~/.lyx) It might have some useful preferences set. If not, you might need to change the path to "Hunspell dictionaries" in Tools > Preferences > Paths. Are the Russian and French dictionary files located in the same directory as the English ones?
