A student of mine have the exact same problem on a laptop with Windows 10, and I tried to help her fix it: the log didn’t seem to contain any error (!)—I copy it below— so I reinstalled MikTeX and LyX, reconfigured LyX, but to no avail. It keeps doing the same thing. Any idea? Should she try to install an older version? By the way, I had trouble on her system trying to synchronize the MikTeX repository and got this kind of error (MiKTeX Problem Report Message: Couldn't connect to server Data: Source: Libraries\MiKTeX\PackageManager\CurlWebSession.cpp Line: 348 MiKTeX: 2.9 OS: Windows 10 Home, 64-bit, build 15063 Invokers: non-existing/explorer SystemAdmin: yes PowerUser: no Root0: C:\Users\NAIMA\AppData\Roaming\MiKTeX\2.9 Root1: C:\Users\NAIMA\AppData\Local\MiKTeX\2.9 Root2: C:\ProgramData\MiKTeX\2.9 Root3: C:\Program Files (x86)\MiKTeX 2.9 UserInstall: C:\Users\NAIMA\AppData\Roaming\MiKTeX\2.9 UserConfig: C:\Users\NAIMA\AppData\Roaming\MiKTeX\2.9 UserData: C:\Users\NAIMA\AppData\Local\MiKTeX\2.9 CommonInstall: C:\Program Files (x86)\MiKTeX 2.9 CommonConfig: C:\ProgramData\MiKTeX\2.9 CommonData: C:\ProgramData\MiKTeX\2.9)
