Dear Rajat,

I've never heard of this problem, and have never experienced it myself.
Can you show a screencast so that we understand the problem better?

I have seen an issue where double-clicking on a file in the open dialog
can cause LyX to crash. That was solved by removing the package
qt-at-spi. You could try removing that package (if you have it
installed), but it's really just a shot in the dark.
