default I am surprised by is the screen zoom/font size. I set my zoom to

The average of the above values is 158.

The default is 150. I'm not convinced there's enough evidence to change
the default.

In windows the default is 120. (I renamed my personal LyX2.3 folder so that LyX had to create a fresh one. This is the value that results.) In fact I'm trying 150 (having previously used 130). It's certainly easier on my aging eyes.
