Thanks Scott, I feel a bit of a clown! How I managed to set Author as Title has me baffled as I've been using LyX for many years and am generally quite competent with it. Even more baffled as to how I didn't notice that my intended Author paragraph was set to Title at some stage of my own investigation. Many thanks for your help and patience.
