Virtual box and try installing Ubuntu, Fedora, etc and share a folder. Export to PDF or allow USB passthrough to your printer (unless it's a network printer.) Ubuntu and Fedora would be about 5 minutes of your time to start a download going, and run through a generic installer on vanilla Virtual Box hardware. Honestly the longest time would be getting Virtual Box setup with making sure the modules are compiled for your kernel and making sure that your user is added to the virtual box group. That's where I'd be going.
