mark the term _inside_ the bracket or hat with cursor or mouse and
cut it with ctrl-x or vis menu. now delete the brackets or the hat as
usual and insert the term with ctrl-v or via menu.

put the cursor at the end of the line at hit ctrl-enter for an
empty new line. play a little bit araound to see whats going
on when the cursor is not at the end of the line.

put the cursor in the last or first line of the pagebreak and do a
layout->paragraph->pagebreak (befor or behind)
